With a young and driven team, Smartbox works every day on the lightest container in Europe. Although we have been on the market for a relatively short time, our ambitions are sky-high: the Benelux, and ultimately the whole of Europe, will continue to have the lightest loading platform!
The development of Smartbox started at Allro-Plast Carrosseriën in 2009 – here they have been working on lightweight bodies for a long time. Smartbox was eventually founded in 2012. At the time we were located in Yerseke. Due to our first importer in Belgium (2013), expansion at Smartbox was necessary. This is how it happened: we got half a warehouse across the street. Two years later, the entire warehouse was needed and at Christmas 2017 we left for Goes, to a brand new factory that runs entirely on solar energy. But the expansion continued: since 2018 we also deliver outside the Benelux and we founded Smartbox International. At our current location we have enough space to continue to grow considerably in the coming years and we will continue to develop there for the optimal, light loading platform!
